 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT

Our FIFTH installment to our Associated Artists Spotlight series, we are excited to introduce Sujata Aher!

Finding beauty in the dichotomy between the abstract and the realistic, Sujata retired from her full-time job as a software developer after 25 years and is now fully pursuing art. She works mainly in oils and has work featured in Oh' Calcutta for sale. Most recently with AAWS, she was featured in the High Point Furniture Market and is in the Benton Spring/Summer Exhibition.

More than that, Sujata is teaching a cooking class with us! Giving us "A Taste of India," Sujata will cook a perfected Buttered Chicken recipe. Register HERE!

This is an intimate event hosted in her home with wine, side dishes, and goody bags with spices, Indian candies, and more. Click below to sign-up for this fun event today!

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS

AND DEADLINES

If you’re a piano or keyboard player and need a space to explore, we’ve got you covered! Karen Millican and friends are putting together a group of piano players who want to jam and socialize with like-minded folks. Together, we'll commiserate over a hard-to-learn piece, celebrate the finishing touches on a composition you’ve been working on for a while, show off our skills, and do some 4-hand playing or duets.

Please email Karen Millican if you are interested!

We are also turning over our artists in the North Trade Street Arts! Showcasing three members at a time, this exhibition space can hold 3D art for 3 months, and 2D art for one month. This upcoming cycle is from late May to late June.
