Have you ever wondered how artists develop their drawing and painting skills?  Have you ever wanted to establish a daily art practice? If you answered yes to any of these questions, there is only one answer for you - an art sketchbook! AAWS created this workshop series to explore the advantages of forming a routine sketchbook practice.

This Pen & Pencil Sketching Class is your third class of four. Here, you'll learn about pen and pencil sketching techniques!

Any place, any subject, any method or medium…everything is drawable! Spend an afternoon with Jennifer Edwards drawing everything from the chairs we sit in, to the snacks we eat, to the view outside the Mary Alice Warren Community Center. Come with a playful spirit and be ready to enjoy the freedom and fun of drawing your life in a sketchbook! You will learn a variety of techniques for sketching and documenting your daily life in a sketchbook. Continual line, cross-hatching, line and wash, collage and more will be demonstrated in a fun and lighthearted manner!

Students should bring a sketchbook, preferably with heavier weight paper (mixed media type), any pencils and pens you have on hand. Optional: any other mixed media art goodies you might have.

**Please note that this class is offered at a discounted price for all due to the Shallow Ford Foundations generosity!
