Call for Entry: RELEVANCE 2018

Collegiate Juried Art Exhibition

Associated Artists and The Arts Council of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County are sponsoring “Relevance 2018,” a Juried Art Exhibition for local college students. Any current student at a college or university in Forsyth County is eligible to submit one piece of art for the show. All submitted 2-D and 3-D works that meet the guidelines will be accepted. Prizes include $150 for first place, $75 for second place, and $50 for third place.

Entries must be hand-delivered to the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts at 251 N. Spruce Street on Monday, Oct 29, 2-5 pm, or Tuesday, Oct 31, 11 am-5 pm. The entry fee is $5. A current student ID is required. (If the work is being delivered by someone other than the artist, a photocopy of the student ID is acceptable.)

The Opening Reception is Friday, November 2, 5-7 pm.  The Reception is free and open to the public. The show will run until Saturday, Dec 1.

The juror of the show will be Mary Anne Redding, the Curator and Assistant Director of the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts at Appalachian State University.  Prior to joining the Turchin Center, she was the curator of the Marion Center for Photographic Arts and chair of the photography department at Santa Fe University of Art & Design.

The show is being organized by Arts Administration students at Salem College.
