Printmaking is my passion.
As an art historian, I am continually fascinated and impressed with the role of printmaking in the art world from the softly monochromatic mezzotints of the earlier Baroque to the bold carved lines of the German Expressionist.
Lunch and Learn Program Details
Printmaking: an introduction to and explanation of printmaking terms and processes. Barbara’s talk will be illustrated with samples of specialty printmaking materials and original artwork. She will discuss the varied forms of printmaking in clear, understandable terms, with examples. And she will give a special emphasis to Mezzotints, for which she received an Arts Council grant this year.
