2023 Workshop – Beth Andrews

CALL FOR ENTRIES
Create art that is based on your HOMETOWN. This can be your current hometown, a former hometown, your ancestral hometown, or what you wish/want your hometown to be like. As you create, interpret what your hometown represents to you. Use your imagination and any style, subject or medium that brings your hometown to life. Photography, paintings, collage, sculpture, jewelry…as long as it can hang…is welcome.
Members may submit up to 2 artworks. We will accept the first 50 entries.
Associated Artists of Winston-Salem is excited to be hosting it’s first Annual Fundraiser event, “Holiday Arts Festival” on Sunday, November 20, at Milton Rhodes center for the Arts from 12-5pm. Come enjoy some delicious, locally made, sweet treats while doing some holiday shopping at our Makers Market in Reynolds Place Theater, featuring 20+ unique vendors, selling their artfully made creations.
While strolling through the Main Gallery, taking in the AAWS “Artists Spotlight” Exhibit, up through Jan. 7th, have fun placing the winning bid, on your favorite donated auction items, in our on-line, silent auction. Auction goes live on Nov. 10, winners will be announced Nov. 20 at 4pm. And, of course, there will be plenty of amazing artwork, donated by talented local artists, for purchase in our Fine Art Sale.
The mission of Associated Artists is to inspire and provide artists, of all skill levels, a place to be seen through providing programing and gallery spaces. when you support AAWS it means we get closer to reaching the goals we‘ve set for the coming year to provide these services to the community.
