Dimensions is a national juried art exhibition, established by AAWS in 1964 to showcase outstanding visual art in two and three-dimensional fine art media. This year’s exhibition will be held inside the Womble Carlyle Gallery at the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts from May 30 to July 24 with a reception and awards ceremony on Friday, June 1 from 5 to 7 pm. Free and open to the public.

The exhibition was jurored by Jerald L. Melberg, creator of the internationally known Jerald Melberg Gallery in Charlotte, North Carolina. Melberg will speak briefly during the reception about his selections and the exhibition, as well as announce winners and prize money selections.

Melberg selected 23 artists to be a part of this exhibition, 9 of which are residents of North Carolina, in addition to artists from Georgia, Utah, New York, Maryland, Texas, and more. A diverse range of media will be represented including painting, printmaking, sculpture, and installation from contemporary artists across the country.

Founded in 1956, Associated Artists of Winston-Salem is among the oldest arts organizations in Winston-Salem with a mission to support and celebrate the visual artist. For over 60 years, AAWS has provided a venue for emerging and professional artists to present artwork and share experiences as equals. As a membership-based organization, anyone is invited to join and show their work or join to discover and support local artists. Find out more at associatedartists.org.
